Occupational Heat & Wildfire Smoke Exposure

Pricing varies on membership level

Description

Both Outdoor Heat and Wildfire Smoke Rule updates will be covered in this session.

Wildfire smoke exposes outdoor workers to the health risks of breathing smoky air. New wildfire smoke rules, effective January 15, 2024 are now in place to protect the health of workers who are exposed to the small particles contained |in wildfire smoke.

The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) also adopted updates to Outdoor Heat Exposure rules in the summer of 2023 to prevent heat-related illness and reduce traumatic injuries associated with heat exposure.
