OFCCP Publishes New Supply & Service Technical Assistance Guide

November 4, 2020

On November 3rd, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) released a new technical assistance guide for federal supply and service contractors.

Federal supply and service contractors can use this technical assistance guide as a self-assessment tool as they create, review, and update their affirmative action programs and carry out their equal employment opportunity obligations.

OFCCP noted the following highlights in the revised technical assistance guide:

  • Revisions to reflect regulatory changes to Executive Order 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act
  • Outlines the equal employment opportunity obligations for federal contractors
  • Lists the required components of affirmative action programs and related information
  • Discusses what to expect during OFCCP compliance evaluations

OFCCP hopes the release of this technical assistance guide will serve as a useful tool for contractors and subcontractors.
